This spacious bar (previously called Tavern in Town) is an ideal place for a quick drink and a breather if you are out shopping in Southampton. As part of the Just So pub chain, it has very cheap prices and, mercifully, quiet background music. So you can actually have conversations with people! Centrally located on Above Bar Street, it is smartly designed, with alcove seating and a ye olde feel. There is also a non-smoking area. There are regular guest beers and food is served until 10 pm every day.
