This is unquestionably an 'old-style' golf course. It may lack yardage, but it doesn't play short. The premium is on accuracy and placement. Trees and rough rim the fairways. Extremely small greens repel all but the most solidly struck shots. Deland Country Club has often been called a shot maker's course, and you will be required to use your imagination. This is a private golf course. Metal spikes are tolerated, but not encouraged.
