Overview

The most famous little pie cart around, Harry's Café de Wheels has graced album covers, been immortalised in song lyrics, and is frequented by a star-studded clientele (Lachlan Murdoch, Sarah O'Hare et al). As a result, this is a favourite paparazzi haunt, so you could find yourself getting snapped at two in the morning as you tuck into Harry's traditional Aussie meat pies, sauce and mushy peas.

Agree with the Irish fella - however would go for the meat pie followed by the Chicken pie with all the trimimngs of course - It brings back great memories!!! Then into Wooloomooloo Bay Hotel finish off the hangover with a few cold beers and move onto Sounds on Sunday at the Greenword in North Sydney for a very enjoyable Sunday...Kind of run away with the memories there!! But this shouldnt be just about a cure for hangovers - Any time, Any ocassion these are the King of Pies - not tasted anything that comes close to to being a pie, as this is a PIE!!! If you visit Sydney you've got to try these Pies out - they really come hand in hand with Sydney - a landmark in itself!!!

Perfect Hangover Cureby Yahoo | 2005-05-26 12:22:46 |

Okay, so imagine being hung-over on a Saturday afternoon in Kings Cross, Sydney. What to do, the sun is shining, you know you should get up and make the most of the day but you just can't seem to face it. This is where Harry comes in. Take a leisulrely walk down the 114 steps to Wooloomoloo and have a Tiger - a Harry's speciality of meat pie topped with mash, gravy and mushy pies. It'll sort the head and the belly out. Before you know it you're happily on your way to enjoy the delights of the Botanic Gardens, Opera House, maybe even a Bridge Climb, all thanks to Harry....Cheers Mate!

Real taste of Australiaby Yahoo | 2004-08-29 01:21:14 |

You can't visit Sydney without finding this out of the way gem. I wish I had gone with more of an appetite so that I could have tried the chicken pie also. The traditional aussie meat pie is very flavorful and filling.
