Overview

This open-air cinema is an unforgettable way to experience the great outdoors, catch a movie, and see some dazzling cityscape views. Situated in the Royal Botanic Gardens and overlooking some of Sydney's top sights, it is the perfect place to spend a summer evening. Films at St. George OpenAir Cinema begin at sunset on a large screen that rises from the harbor, seemingly out of the water. Films range from general releases to cult classics to family favorites. The on-site restaurant and bar opens at 6:30p, and serves light meals, such as noodles and Chinese veggies, Tandoori Chicken, Octopus Salad and a range of alcohol. Films are screened nearly every night for this brief just-over-one-month period. See website for titles to be shown.

A wonderful experience. Can't wait to repeat the visit.Something you would never experience in the U.K.because of our unpredictable weather.Everyone was so friendly and the atmosphere was great. Can't fault it!.
