Overview

Since 1932,the Harbor Bridge has been one of Sydney's best-loved landmarks and now you can climb it. The death defying feat takes about three hours, climbers are tethered to a static line throughout the climb. Personal belongings cannot be carried onto the bridge, but BridgeClimb photographs every group atop the summit and offers a variety of souvenir images. Booking recommended.

Great - but there are less expensive ways to see Sydney harbourby Yahoo | 2007-12-03 12:54:32 |

Bridgeclimb is only one way of enjoying the view from the Harbour Bride. The Pylon is cheaper, you can walk across or better still hire some skates and go rollerblading across.

Best workout of my lifeby Yahoo | 2007-07-23 05:29:27 |

I loved the bridge climb and when my husband and I go back we are going to climb the bridge again. To do the climb make sure you are wearing good solid shows (more like hiking boots not tennis shoes). The photos they take of you during the climb come out very nice.

Definately go for my fourth timeby Yahoo | 2007-05-10 15:46:24 |

Bridge Climb was the best and the most scariest thing I've done. Been lucky enough to do it 3 times already. I'm not very good with heights but, stopping several times on the way up and down really helps if you get a bit of vertigo, well it did for me. I would highly recommend booking for the sunset climb. It's magical.

A Must Doby Yahoo | 2006-10-04 08:30:40 |

I did this walk at a time when I walked up in daylight and walked down at night. My sunset, unfortunately, was not spectacular as it was sprinkling and cloudy, but it did not deter at all from the walk. The 360 views are superior to anything else. There are several stops on the walk so the guide can take pictures of you. The hardest part of the walk is the series of three vertical (90 degree) ladders in a row - going up and going down. I have a bad knee and had a brace on, and I was fine. The climb itself is not bad. It's stairs. You go through a practice run with your harness and the ladder and walk on a short demo in the building. It cannot be safer. You are attached to the bridge before you actually get on it and do not get unattached until you are off it. It's a pricey attraction to do, but well worth every cent. Just don't forget to pack a pair of rubber soled shoes! Oh, and the some of the most fun was at the end when we were walking underneath the bridge, and the bats were coming out and flying off. (There were only a few.)

Go for it@by Yahoo | 2005-03-19 04:37:36 |

What an incredible adventure. At the pinnacle of the span, you are 400 feet above the water. The view is amazing. Especially at sunset. You are completely secure , anchored to the bridge superstructure in a waist level harness and safety cables on both sides of your body. There guide gives you safety insrtuctions and off you go. It takes about 45 minutes to an hour to ascend to the top. As your walk towards the top , the views will astound you. The harbor, the bay, the ocean, the skyline, the communications tower(similar to the Sapce Needle in Seattle,Washington,USA & the CN Tower In Toronto,Canada.)It is truly an unforgetable experience. It will leave an indelibe impression that you will be raving about. ENJOY!!
