Extending a mile out into the silvery waters of Tampa Bay, this five-story upside-down pyramid at the end of the city's famed Pier shimmers in the sun. Here, you will find a variety of stores, restaurants, evening entertainment spots and the city's aquarium plus a hands-on museum. You can sail off on a sightseeing cruise or a pirate adventure. On the ground floor is a replica of the HMS Bounty with galleries and boutiques. Top floors have an aquarium, Hands-On exhibits from the Great Explorations Children's Museum, and an observation area.

    Wonderful placeby Yahoo | 2008-04-04 19:14:19 |

We loved the Pier. The atmosphere was fun and surprises around every corner. The entertainment outside was top notch, the food was great. The aquarium was well worth the small fee and my kids loved it. We rented a 'family" bike and rode around the bay area which was one of our favorite activities for the entire week. We took a free boat ride around the bay and feed the seagulls. There is a swimming area right beside the pier and fishing all over. It was a fun family place to go. I think couples would enjoy it too. It would be a great place for a date.

    NO Place betterby Yahoo | 2008-01-16 08:58:05 |

The pier is a beautiful place to kickback not to mention thier is varity of poeple to party or club with. As for the prices you're paying for something that you didn't have at home in the first place it's call a trip be resonable! Have fun when you come here and stop down playing my city. Hope you enjoy

    Waste of Time....by Yahoo | 2007-11-25 20:48:54 |

This attraction was a complete waste of time. There are a few souvenir shops on the inside, with one or two beachwear stores and a jewelry store. There is a small aquarium on the second floor that charges an entrance fee. We did not go in because it do not look like it was anything worth spending $$ on. The highlight of this attraction was feeding the pelicans at the small little hut outside the shopping area. Cost $5 for 5 fish and kids (and pelicans) loved it! If you are still inclined to go, do not go to the paid or valet parking as there is tons of free parking within walking distance.

    common Tourist Trap.by Yahoo | 2006-09-26 17:40:35 |

The Pier has become a historic cliche of St. Pete drawing tourist to it's unique architecture and interesting aray of shops. However this experience is not a necessity. The shops are quite over-priced and most of the atmosphere is the same along the coast. Some of the highlights of the Pier are the fudge shop. Anyone who loves chocolate must try some. The car shows at random times of the year are always great especially for those who love antique cars. For tourist from the midlands the dolphin tour is amazing. I believe it is still only $10 and it is well worth it.

Columbia Restaurant - Great Place to Watch Planes & Boatsby Yahoo | 2006-04-21 15:14:01 |

I second the suggestion to eat at the Columbia Restaurant...it's such a fabulous view! The 1905 Salad is unlike any other. You'll crave it long after you return home.

    Not that greatby Yahoo | 2006-03-06 16:05:15 |

Long walk on a nice day, but tourist trappish. Columbia restaurant and rooftop mexican restaurant were fine. Looks better from a distance! Free shuttles help - stick with Bay Front for more to do.

    Not at I thought it would beby Yahoo | 2006-01-18 19:27:39 |

This place well it wasn't really all that great. It was a long walk for a couple of shops. The "Aquarium" was really really not that great. But you do get what you pay for, I only paid a $1 for two people. Not the place for a young couple looking for fun things to do.

    Might go backby Yahoo | 2005-12-02 16:43:52 |

We visited and might go back, but we'll definitely not eat at Captian Al's again. There's a really nice hat shop and DD Collectables is definitely worth stopping in, lot's of great stuff and very affordable prices.

    Seen its better dayby Yahoo | 2005-04-08 19:49:39 |

Old and run down, paint peeling all over the place. Lots of cheap tourist shops, and very average food.
