Just stayed in the Ilves and I have not one bad thing to say about this hotel. the beds were amazing, I have never slept so well in a hotel. There was no hallway noise, everything was supplied (iron and board, tea/coffee, mini bar at bar prices. the staff were so helpful and friendly. the nite club was very good and with a room at the back of the hotel we didnt hear a thing from it when we went to bed and it was still on.The food was excellent with a huge selection to suit all tastes. Location, you couldnt get better right in the center.

Great location and amenities, not to mention wonderful views.The room was very clean, and lush. Service was very efficient, professional, and cordial. Breakfast offerings were varied and tasty.

My husband and I stayed at the Sokos Hotel Ilves in Tampere in 2003 for approximately 1 week. The hotel is clean and a short walk to Tampere's city center. The hotel is attached to a mid-sized shopping center offering many unique shops (including Marimekko). The breakfast was free and offered so much food that my husband and I ate a large breakfast/brunch and skipped lunch each day! The staff speak english (as most Finns do anyway) and were very helpful with directions and general hotel needs. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience.

A great place to stay but is a bit costly. The breakfast is included in the daily rent and they serve 100 things...Enjoyed my stay over there.

Very nice hotel. Close to the center and the major places to see. The lights close the rapids are very nice and if you pay attention, you will see that they move with the flow. (you can see then from the hotel)

It´s a nice place to stay. In the middle of the city. But the sauna close a little bit early in the evening
