Overview
Here's a replica of a 19th-century Western town with small shops offering Old West souvenirs, galleries and restaurants, most notably the Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse and the Dakota Cafe. Of course, there is also a custom leather store, western attire, wooden sidewalks and a central plaza with a gazebo. To enhance the fun, there is also a vintage 1920 Fiesta del Presidio carousel with pinatas, a mining museum and a C.P. Huntington train; in short, it's a great place for kids. Wild west stunt shows are presented Tuesday through Sunday. It's also the locale for Trail Dust Days, an annual cowboy show in late February. Most stores open around noon, but the action doesn't really start until after 5p.After more than 20 years living in Tucson, we still enjoy Traildust Town. The overall atmosphere is charming, the food is tasty and not too expensive, and the stunt show is hilarious and impressive. My family and friends come with us to visit every time we have a chance - it never gets old, and it truly is a gem, hidden nicely in the center of Tucson.
TRAIL DUST TOWN IS MY FAVORITE PLACE TO GO. I LOVE THE SHOWS AND I LOVE PENNICLE PEAK. THEY HAVE THE BEST FOOD. AND ALL THE LITTLE SHOPS ARE GREAT. MY DAUGHTER LOVERS THE SHOOTING ARCADE.
Went there 6 years ago now, forgot all about it till I was the picture! I can recommend going there to grab something to eat, not best food in the world but not the worst either!
I've lived in Tucson for almost 3 years and this is by far my favorite place to go. Pinnacle Peaks offers the best steaks in town and at reasonable prices. Don't expect a lot of variety on the menu they stick to what they make best. Trail Dust town is tons of fun. There is a comedy old western show several times a night. It's pay by donation. While there is lot's of family fun there is also an old fashioned saloon. Not wanting the hard stuff... try a Suix City Sasparilla!
Provides a great evening of fun western flavor. Start off with dinner at Pinnacle Peak Restaurant, where everyone knows the only rule is NO TIES. Wear one and they will cut it off, and I'm not kidding as you will see by the hundreds of ties that decorate the ceiling and walls. We are locals and eat at Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse every month or two. Steaks are cooked over mesquite wood which gives them a unique western flavor. Then on to the western shoot-out show, fun to watch and reasonable ($5?). They also have a fun train ride that goes around the town, if you're interested. Finish off the evening by checking out the many shops. Kids especially will love the General Store which has a wide variety of candy and toys.
