Overview

This large concrete building in the downtown core is a prime and popular watering hole for young Vancouverites. The food at Subeez Café is creative West Coast cuisine with international flavors and fusions thrown into the mix. The spicy fries are notable. There is an extensive wine and beer menu, with several prime local brews on tap. Special musical nights and DJ events will rock your world. Along with the young staff's carefree attitude, art installments line the high gray walls, and massive, dripping candles establish the industrial-tinged eatery as a hip and funky place to be. So grossby Yahoo | 2008-06-06 18:31:37 |

I went there in the daylight too around 5 PM and the yam fries we ordered we burnt and soggy, it was disgusting! The wine glasses we were brought all had lipstick on them and overall the food was atrocious. I would maybe return for beers or drinks on the patio but do not order their food!

    wicked good.by Yahoo | 2006-08-12 00:28:46 |

the dark atmosphere only adds to it, and the washrooms are clean and cool. awsome food and great service. it's a "yes please" on anyone's 'where to go' list. plus, awesome martini's! a well good place for anyone with a streak of individuality.

    Cool placeby Yahoo | 2006-01-28 00:24:38 |

My experience at Subeez at was very pleasant. The sangria was really good. The food was really good too; interesting combinations and tasty food. The atmosphere was really cool, I loved the funky candles. Some of the drinks were a little off for my taste, but overall I really enjoyed my experience. I definitely recommend this place for a late night dinner or drink with friends. It is a good place for young people to go, with an interesting crowd.

    why I won't go backby Yahoo | 2005-08-06 19:29:27 |

This place has terrible service, it's overly loud and the bathrooms are in a very scary state. I wouldn't want to see the inside of it's kitchen, for fear of what I might find. It's one redeeming quality is that it serves amazing martinis.

    Excellent atmosphereby Yahoo | 2005-06-24 21:59:42 |

Coffee, walls, decor, drinks, music, people; great place! A dark gothy place.

    go to wazubees insteadby Yahoo | 2004-10-10 04:37:14 |

On both occasions i have eaten at subeez the food was poorly prepared/burned, it was dirty, and the service sucked. Perhaps this is a great nightspot, but in the daylight you ca see how dirty/crappy this place is.

    Go to Subeez!by Yahoo | 2004-08-29 18:57:46 |

Excellent food, funky atmosphere. Try the Chicken and Brie sandwich with fries and Garlic Mayo. They've got excellent coffee and cheesecake, and the Bourbon Sour is amazing.
