Overview

Located beside the grand old Queen Elizabeth Theatre, the Vancouver Playhouse Theatre is its quieter, more demure partner. Built in 1962 by the city, the medium-sized Downtown facility features music recitals, chamber music concerts, contemporary dance, plays and business events. It seats 668 people and though less formal and elegant than the Queen Elizabeth, it is still a comfortable and attractive venue. Be sure to check the listings to see what's showing.
