This 45-minute journey into the underworld takes the visitor through 300 meters of the 500-metre cave system known as the Cuevas de Bellamar. These caves were discovered in 1861 and soon became one of Cuba's main tourist attractions because of the beauty of the secondary formations. Throughout the tour there are halls and galleries of incredible beauty, fountains, stalactites and stalagmites, crystallized domes and other formations bearing names such as La Fuente del Amor (Fountain of Love) or La Galería Coco Rallado (Grated Coconut Gallery). Once outside the caves, there is a cafe-restaurant along with shops.Open Hours
Mo to Su from 09:00 AM to 06:00 PMcave is amazing, guides will give u a great tour enriched with legends of the local folks .trip will take around an hour, cave has over fifteen chamber each one with its personal tale.u don't get bored ay all!!!!! restaurant on top has a very poor menu, shame 'cause its a traditional cuban bohio(hut)that it gives the place the flavor of the cuban country side.located in a rural environment
Like: the wealther was wonderful, you get a little rain and a little sun. It was cool and warm in a way. In the morning you would go outside and feel the breeze of the morning air and have a cup of coffee. It was beautiful. I would recommended other to go here. Dislike: If it get too much of rain, sometime you would have a bite from mosquitoes or bugs. But is not that bad.
Awesome! It was really cool... At least the STAFF DIDN'T LEAVE ME BEHIND!!! Thanx to all the staff at Cuevas de Bellemar. It was great!
