There is a vast selection of handicrafts, woven fabrics, jewelry, antique ornaments and electronic and household goods for sale here. Expatriates, locals and tourists alike congregate to buy their luxury items as this is as close to a department store as you will find in Laos. Although the prices may be higher than in other places, the Morning Market has a convenient location with a great selection. Bargaining is essential.Open Hours

I loved this "mall" in vientiane! Me and my fiancee' were in laos for 5 days and every day i went there to see everything.. You can buy practically anything there and it's really cheap.. explore you can see alot and it's a place where you can go people watching. when i return soon i will spend lot's of time there again. Be sure to pick up some beer lao tshirts, they are like around 1 dollar american each!!
Talat Sao in Vientiane was so awesome, it's like the mega-mall of laos. A lot of tourist likes to go there to shop for souvenirs, music cds/dvds, watch, gold/silver jewelry, you name it, they got it all.... Everywhere you go there's always food around, so you never go hungry. When we were visiting there, we went to that market at least 2-3 times a week. It was a blast and you meet a lot of friendly people also. It was a good experience, and I highly recommend it to all who visits Vientiane, Laos.
It's brilliant situated nearby chaleunxay hotel. Im 14 and went with my mum and dad everything there is cheap i reccomend it. But the problem is it is to crowded sometimes. Downstairs are electronics and souvenirs and silk(materials). And situated upstairs are a wide array of lao gold and clothing. There are bureau de change to exchange your foreign notes to (KIP)LAOTION CURRENCY OR (BAHT) THAI CURRENCY.
