Overview
Resembling the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, this large monument was built in 1969 with US purchased cement supposedly to be used for the construction of a new airport. Otherwise known to many as the "Victory Monument", it commemorates those who lost their lives in the war. Once you pay the entrance fee, you embark on a relatively easy climb to the top. If the architecture does not grab your attention, the view certainly will, spanning many miles in each direction.Open Hours

Not remarkable. Gives good views across the city (I was disappointed that there wasn't a better view of the river, nor could you see much of the golden stupa at That luang temple). Cheap enough at 3000 kip pp. Nice shops on the way up.
People who go visit Patuxai should not throw garbages on the ground. The visitors should haak saa khuam sa aad together. Another important thing is that people who sell things at patuxay should not charge the foreigners too expensive. The price offering to foreign visitors should be the same as price offering to lao visitors.
I hated it. The Monks would spit on you to be disrespectful. They even tried to steel my wallet witch $150 dollars in it. DON'T GO THERE!!!!
I like how the la ocen architecture is was different from the rest it is very creative and beautiful their architecture is a wa of art.But of course many people have theit taste in other words their point of view but thats why earth is earth its the best because if everyone had the same taste in religion and art and food it would all be like a back and white movie don't get me wrong their great movies but they are just simply better in color well getting back to the view of laos i think it needs to have five out of five stars because it is just simply beautiful i can stay how many hours i want looking at it and i would not get bored it is a magnifiacant piece of a but a simple Art
Patusai is very beautiful. You can see the entire of city and it every good. They were fix it, Now it very very nice when you walk around it very very good.
This place was so pretty and if you are ever in Laos you should definalty visit Patuxai. If you go to the top you can see the entire city Vientiane. This would have to be the best place in Laos I have been to so far. I just love Laos its amazing.
One of the best view over the capital of Vientiane. Anyone visit Laos should visit Patuxai and meet other people there... Beautiful water fountain.
Really worth visiting, the highest point in Vientiane, you can see the whole city, also have shops to buy souvniors. But seems unfinished..
The main point for me to dont get lost, its a big arch and underneat it you can see a beautiful mosaic. It has a beautiful fountain infront of it and you can easily walk around it its not crewded at all.
