Overview
This gallery displays a collection of contemporary decorative art from Europe and America. It features many of the best-known artists including Sabattini, Vanini, Daum, Moorcroft, Claire McArdle and more. This is a wonderful shop in the heart of Georgetown's shopping district.Open Hours
Mo to Sa from 11:00 AM to 06:00 PM, Su from 01:00 PM to 05:00 PMMy first visit to the store was by far one of my all time favorite shopping experiences. Despite the fact that I looked like someone who should be featured on the show "What Not to Wear", Keith spent over an hour just having me try on various necklaces, earrings, and shawls and talking about the items. I had never felt so beautiful and pampered. I left the store with a gorgeous blue multi-string necklace and hope to return to the store the next time I want to treat myself or need to get a wedding gift.
Every gift that I receive from Keith Lipert is received with excitement, a feeling of being indulged, a sense of the uniqueness of the gift and simply stated a fine "hip classic". I also have found the most wonderful gifts for brides and grooms, friends and family members and these are always given rave reviews by the recipients. I love heading down to Keith Lipert from our Columbia home, knowing full well that I will find a wonderful gift. The staff is gracious, knowledgeable and never high pressuring.
When I read the first review of Keith Lipert Gallery I had to respond. I first stopped into the store a couple of years ago and have nothing but great times in there. Keith and his staff are extremely helpful - they helped me custom order a Rodo wedding purse - and I've been introduced to wonderful necklaces and earrings that I love! I probably stop in once a month now and never feel pressure to buy anything but I usually do!!!
I live in Georgetown, D.C. and I must say it is disgusting that a store such as Keith Lipert Gallery exists. It is overpriced rubbish and offers little in the area of uniqueness. The quality of rhw merchandise is bland and Keith Lipert himself doesn't seem to put the customer first. He sold me a pair of candlesticks that turned out to be badly marred. When I returned to the store the next morning, he refused a refund stating "buyer beware." So I state the same thing to any would be shopper there..."buyer beware!"
I hate to shop but I know that once I go here, it will be my last stop. The jewelry is very tasteful, unique and reasonable. The people are capable and good natured, and save one time, the owner has always been on the premises. This place is first rate.
