Overview

Since 1988, Winnipeg diners have been able to take five-star panoramic repasts perched high atop at the Royal Crown Revolving Restaurant one of the city's top 10 restaurants. After dinner, some like to enjoy a cocktail in the Patio Lounge. Perhaps dinner is prelude to an evening at the Centennial Concert Hall or the Manitoba Theater Center. The Royal Crown Revolving Restaurant a glass house is usually brilliantly lit until sunset, the highlight of the evening. It is an elegant space but the ambience and fair pricing make it family friendly.

Not sure if will go backby Yahoo | 2007-10-08 22:05:28 |

my husband son and I went to have the Thanksgiving Buffet For the money they charged it was horrible... The salad bar was all mixed up with next to nothing there....The line for the food was not that great as well Cabbage rolls were large stuffed noodles with a spinach & cheese to me cabbage rolls are cabbage rice & some hamburger with tomato sauce Turkey was a roll and it was very hard to get at, Potatoes were fried what ever happened to mashed..Meatballs were like pressed sawdust Roast beef was not to bad, didn't have the ham and the fish was eatable...The fruit tray was running dry as was everything else and these were not being replenished at all...Deserts were to rich even for a Diabetic, never once did anyone come to see if all was ok and when we did get someone we ordered another ceasar and was told no celery or lemons.A very very disappointing night over all for the Money !!

    Great View!by Yahoo | 2006-01-21 00:19:37 |

The revolving restaraunt has a great view of the city! It is very nice to visit for the novelty of the restaraunt. I went there as a volunteer with a group of geriatric center residents, all in wheelchairs, and the staff was very helpful. Unfortunately, the only wheelchair accessible bathrooms are on the 5th floor (the restaraunt & bar on the 30/31). The food was not terrible, but it was not as good as one would expect from a restaraunt with the "high class" atmosphere. I think it is great for the experience, and is fun, but do not expect a wonderful meal.

    Over-ratedby Yahoo | 2005-10-11 20:35:34 |

We feel this venue is highly over rated and the food extremely over-salted the lunchtime buffet was very poor, cold which was unexpected as we dined early ! while the turning resturant is a cool idea in practice it is somewhat disorientating as only the seating area revolves leaving the actual buffet/lavatories etc standing still. One glass of "blush" (californian) was $5.95 which makes a reasonable sounding "all you can eat" meal expensive (oh yes the desert etc NOT included in the price)........but then $1 is too much for poor food. sorry we cant find a plus for the place !
