A fan of footpaths wanders through the park's tropical landscape of palm trees and ferns, wildly colored flower gardens and mind-calming ponds. A large bronze statue of Doctor Sun Yet Sen, China's democratic revolutionary pioneer who challenged the Qing dynasty in 1911, enjoys all-star status with locals.
