Yamate Residence 234 is a Western-style apartment building located on the Bluff across from Motomachi Park. It was built in 1927, its a beautiful structure designed as an upscale apartment building. The old structure, and exterior work and renovation was undertaken. The restored structure has regained its original beauty, and is open for tours. Tours of the residence in English are available on Wednesdays. There is an exhibition of the history of Western-style furniture-making in Yokohama.
