Overview

This square is also known as Cathedral Square and is one of the largest in Europe. The area was formerly divided by hedges and cypress trees, but is now a huge open space, floodlit at night. It is a pedestrian square and contains some of the most important buildings in the city: Basilica of El Pilar, the Cathedral of La Seo, City Hall, La Lonja (stock market). Here you can also find the Tourist Information Office, Hispanidad Fountain and a Goya monument. The River Ebro flows regally behind it.

I am going back to liveby Yahoo | 2008-01-29 11:04:25 |

It's the most beautiful place i have ever been, it is unspolit but too many torists. It's a quiet city and i can't wait to return in April for a mini-break and then in September I am going out to live there for my gap year.

Wonderful placeby Yahoo | 2006-01-24 14:41:12 |

Relax and enjoy, not only with all the tourist attraction in just one square but also with the atmosphere. Sit down in a cafe and enjoy of a wonderful spot. Without leaving the Plaza del Pilar, you will spend easily a whole day visiting places, eating and relaxing. Amazing place and people.
